Ali Sparkes Author Visit
Foxes (Year 3/4) and Badgers (Year 5/6) were invited to Lockerly CE Primary School to attend a presentation by successful Hampshire children's author Ali Sparkes. Ali entertained and engaged the children (and adults!) with the story of her road to success and communicated her absolute enthusiasm for writing - at one point Ali started creating a whole knew story from nothing but a cat, a rock and a balloon! - especially the ups and downs of rejection and eventual publication. The children's behaviour was excellent and they asked some really well thought out questions to find out even more from Ali.
