How to access Google Meets
How to access the morning and afternoon register using GoogleMeet
GOOGLE MEET ONLY WORKS ON THE FOLLOWING INTERNET PLATFORMS. PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU ARE ACCESSING THIS THROUGH THE FOLLOWING PLATFORMS:
-GOOGLE CHROME
- FIREFOX
- MICROSOFT EDGE
- On the ‘classwork’ page of Google Classroom, you should see a ‘Google Calendar’ tab in the top right hand corner. When you click on this, it should open a new tab in your browser.
2. When you open your Google Calendar, you should see the scheduled morning and afternoon register ‘Meets’. When you need to attend the meeting, click on the day and time you want and click ‘Join with Google Meet’.
3. A new tab should appear which looks like the screenshot below. Click the ‘Join now’ button to join the ‘Meet’.
4. Once on the ‘Meet’, controls are very similar to Zoom. Please ensure your child is muted unless they are asked to speak and that they do not try to change their background as this can be distracting to others.
