Admission arrangements

The information below gives details of admission arrangements for the school. As a County school, we follow the standard Hampshire admissions policy for its schools.

Our school official intake number for Year R is 15 pupils. However, we can sometimes flexible on this number. 

 

We do have admissions limits in place in each year group.

 

If you are outside our official catchment area, it is still likely that we may be able to offer you a school place. Please contact the school in the first instance to check for availability and to arrange a look round.

Choosing a school for your child is an important step in their development which we know is essential to get right. We would love to welcome you for a tour of our school. 

 

Open Events

We are very pleased to invite you to one of our Open Mornings:

Friday 18th September 2026 - 9.30am   

Tuesday 6th October 2026 - 9.30am

Friday 13th November 2026 - 9.30am

How to apply

 

If you live in Hampshire

If you live in Hampshire, you can apply from 1st September 2026 online at www.hants.gov.uk/admissions.
The application deadline is Wednesday 15th January 2027.

 

If you live outside the area

If you live in another area, or will be moving to the area for the new school year and would like to apply for a place at Broughton you would need to speak with your Local Authority Admissions Team and follow their process.

 

In Year Applications

If your child attends another primary school and would like to come to Broughton Primary immediately, you can apply to join our school via Hampshire County Council Admissions - please follow this link -   Apply for an in-year place

 

Once you have made the application you will be notified of the outcome within 10 school days.   You have the right of appeal to an independent appeal panel against the refusal of a place at this school. If you would like to appeal, please visit  www.hants.gov.uk/educationandlearning/admissions/guidance/appeals to complete the online appeal form or contact the County Admissions Team on 0300 555 1377 to request an appeal pack by post.
