Mental Health and Well Being at Broughton Primary School 

At Broughton Primary School we know it’s important to look after our physical health by making positive choices about the food we eat and ensure we exercise regularly but it’s also incredibly important we take steps to take care of our emotional and mental health too.

The 5 Steps to Wellbeing is a set of evidence-based public mental health messages aimed at improving mental health and wellbeing across the whole population. We use SCARF to promote these throughout our curriculum:

 

· Be Active

· Connect with others

· Give to others

· Be creative and learn

· Mindfulness and take notice

 

These have been adopted and are actively promoted by organisations such as Mind and the NHS. We also promote these messages through school and if you would like to find out more about what you could do with your family and the support we offer through school that fit into one or more of these 5 areas, click the button below:
