Jemima in Year 6:
"I recommend the Hunger Games because it is an action-packed adventure series set in future Canada. Katniss Everdeen (a 16-year-old girl) volunteers to take her sister's place in a fight-to-the-death arena where only one victor can survive. My favourite character is Clove because she is brave and ruthless. This 5-star sci-fi novel series by Suzanne Collins will keep you on the edge of your seat to the very end."
Will in Year 6:
"I would recommend Orion Lost which is a sci-fi fiction. I liked it because there were so many unexpected twists and turns and the fact that the children in the book take initiative and control the ship."

I really like the protagonist, Sophie Foster, as she is confident and adventurous. I would rate this book 5-stars as it made me want to read more."
Chloe in Year 6:
"This book is part of a series which I have really enjoyed reading - all of Rachel Renée Russell's books are funny and witty. This book begins by one of the characters having too many parties to choose from which becomes a recipe for disaster. I would rate this book 4.5-stars as I did really enjoy reading it."
Alice in Year 2:
"They are about a group of girls. One girl is called Sophie and then she finds a storm dragon that comes from the sky. The king was gone and there was a bag of magic speaking stones and when they are warm, they crack open into crystals. They meet more girls after that. Other people should read this because it is really magical and cool. There are lots new made-up animals and powers that are really cool. Like storm dragons can make storms."
William in Year 2:
"The children have loads of adventures. I really like the bit when they meet Pongo with his monkey. I like when the pirates are fighting the children because it is a bit funny. You should read this book because it is really cool. It would be good for anyone in Year 2 upwards."
